Wireless Computing
Encryption Added to RF-220 and RF-250 Wireless Keyboards
In response to increased security concerns, Wireless
Computing, Inc. has added an important enhancement
to their popular line of extended-range wireless
keyboards - encryption.
New versions of the RF-220 Compact Wireless
Keyboard
and RF-250 Full-Sized Wireless Keyboard were
introduced at INFOCOMM 2005. Enhancements include
keystroke-by-keystroke encryption to protect against
illicit interception of credit card numbers,
passwords, account numbers and other typed
information.
According to Martin Phillips, president of Wireless
Computing, "Encryption is a plus for everyone who
uses a wireless keyboard, whether at work or at
home. It is particularly important when the wireless
keyboard is used in a security-conscious
organization such as a bank, military base,
hospital, or government office."
