Hurricane Katrina and Rita Relief
FINANCIAL AID STILL NEEDED!!!
You have probably seen our plans to assist those in
our industry
affected by Hurricane Katrina. If not, we invite you
to visit the site to see what your association is doing
to help our members, your contemporaries, in time of
need when they need it most.
Our efforts have already given hope and assistance
to those who need it.
“Hurricane Katrina has touched every employee at
our company in one way or another. We are
committed to retain every employee. Your generosity
will help make this happen. Again, a warm thanks to
all.”
For these companies, the need for assistance has
not gone away with time – it can only go away when
their businesses are back up and running.
Therefore, we need to raise more relief funds to
help them, and this letter is a very straightforward
appeal for you to give.
We come to you with this request representing your
association and as concerned members of the
industry who have donated our personal funds
to this cause. We have also received gifts from
several members, but there is a need for much
more.
We hope you will respond today to the need of your
fellow members. While not many will be able to give
large amounts, we think we can collect gifts both big
and small that will add up to be a real help to those
affected by Hurricane Katrina.
To make your contribution, go to
secure.infocommiq.com/katrinarelief or make
your
check payable to the International
Communications Industries Foundation (ICIF)
and send to ICIF, 11242 Waples Mill Road, Suite 200,
Fairfax, VA 22030, Attn: Member Relief Fund.

Stewart Filmscreens
Advantages of Installing a Stewart Screen - by Robert Dutton, CTS
Are Stewart screens typically more expensive? In
some situations, yes, but
without a doubt the end result is more than worth
the
extra cost.
The biggest challenge is getting your customer to
understand the value they are getting. By investing
in a Stewart Filmscreen, your
customer is investing in their infrastructure. The
customer will likely have to the projector two or three
times before ever
changing the screen. If the proper investment in
quality is not made from the start, the screen will
need to be
replaced every time a new projector is installed. This
means, the end user is essentially paying more
in the long term for screen technology than if
Stewart is used from the beginning.
Here are the major benefits for choosing Stewart
filmscreens on every project:
- The screens are built to last for much longer than
any other screen on the market.
- All the screens are custom-built to your project
from the raw materials to the finished product by
highly trained craftsmen.
- Largest seamless screens in the industry
(essential for quality projection systems).
- Every screen is rolled to protect the quality of the
screens (this ensures the highest quality, finished
product for your customer).
Do you have the 2005-2006 Stewart Price Guide?
(Dealer margins have changed from 35% to 40%).
